Can 0.25 ml straws be used in the EF600-100?
This is not recommended, the measured rates of cooling in 0.25 ml straws, processed on the sample plate of the EF600-100 are not satisfactory. This is because the contact of the 0.25 ml straw in the slot machined to accommodate a 0.5ml straw is very poor, leading to an unacceptable temperature difference between plate and sample temperature.
