EF600
The EF600 is the world's first liquid nitrogen free controlled rate freezer. It has been specifically designed for the cryopreservation of stem cells, embryos and spermatozoa, but can also be used for a wide range of freezing applications.
The EF600 is electrically powered by a Stirling Cycle Cryocooler, not liquid nitrogen. This allows the freezer to be used in laboratories which operate under sterile conditions or which require high air quality, and presents no risk of contamination to samples. The cooling rate is precisely controlled allowing good recovery on thawing.
Grant Instruments manufacture the EF600, see the product specification to learn more or contact Cell Cryogenics directly regarding sales and for details of distributors. Other elements of a GMP compliant cryogenic chain are in development. |
