Asymptote scale control

Asymptote has developed unique technology that inhibits damaging scale build-up in pipes in a range of industrial environments. Patents have been granted in numerous territories.

Scale forms when insoluble salts deposit on the inside walls of pipes, valves, tanks and heat exchangers. If allowed to build up scale causes increased pressure losses, reduction in flow rate or capacity and ultimately pipe blockage.

Asymptote uses ultrasound to prevent the accumulation of scale. Unlike traditional scale control methods, it does not disrupt production and is environmentally friendly, removing the need for contaminating scale inhibition chemicals.

The technology is also effective on other unwanted solid deposition, including the deposition of wax on cooling waxy oils and gas hydrates in pipelines carrying gas and water.
