Asymptote EF600

The EF600 controlled rate freezer cryopreserves embryos, spermatozoa and stem cells. It is electrically powered by a Stirling Cycle Cryocooler, not liquid nitrogen. This allows the freezer to be used in laboratories which operate under sterile conditions or require high air quality, and presents no risk of contamination to samples. The cooling rate is precisely controlled allowing good recovery on thawing (see papers published in Reproductive Bio Medicine Online and Cryoletters)

There are three versions of the Asymptote controlled rate freezer which differ in data logging capacities and freezing profiles: EF600-00, EF600-01 and EF600-10.
